Technology Integration Across the Curriculum in Elementary Classrooms.

Catalog description

This course explores technology integration in elementary education, school technology infrastructure, access equity, and their impact on digital tool adoption. Students apply TPACK (Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge) and SAMR (Substitution, Augmentation, Modification, Redefinition) frameworks to develop inclusive, developmentally appropriate learning experiences using emerging technologies including artificial intelligence, adaptive platforms, and digital media. In addition to introducing technology-enhanced lesson design, assessment strategies, the course prepares teacher candidates to critically and ethically evaluate and implement technology-based instructional strategies that support diverse learners, promote digital literacy, student engagement, and development of 21st-century skills in elementary settings.
