Catalog description
Advanced Directing (Directing II) will delve further into the role of director and what is needed to achieve successful storytelling for the stage. With an emphasis on text analysis and communication, the classroom becomes a laboratory where students have the opportunity to direct multiple scenes, devised work, and enhance their vocabulary for discussing the work. They will also explore the current world of professional directors and their approaches to the work. By the end of this course, students will know the importance of having a point of view and what it means to be a leader within the creative process.
