Catalog description

Fundamentals of Computer Vision and overview of recent research problems in Computer Vision. This course attempts to answer the following questions: (a) How do we capture and process an image? (b) How do we develop machine perception that recognizes, detects, and segments objects? (c) How do we connect the 3D world to 2D images and reconstruct 3D from images? The course covers the mathematical fundamentals and modern algorithms of computer vision, and how they can be useful to improving human lives and society.
