Following a breakthrough laboratory discovery, engineer Carl Bosch led the development of a large-scale industrial process to produce ammonia...and together they changed the world. This First-Year Seminar introduces concepts of scientific inquiry and interdisciplinary collaboration in the context of the humankind's utilization of fertilizers.
