Catalog description
The course is offered to graduate students and advanced undergraduate students. The course covers the foundations of modern computational chemistry from a theoretical perspective: Hartree-Fock theory, DFT, post-Hartree-Fock methods, classical force fields, basis sets, photochemistry, QM/MM frameworks, molecular dynamics, optimization algorithms. Lectures are accompanied by in-class exercises and tutorials.
