Applied Impact Investing introduces students to early-stage venture capital and angel investing with a focus on generating both financial returns and measurable social or environmental impact. The course covers core investment processes - sourcing, screening, valuation, due diligence, deal execution, and exit strategies - while integrating impact frameworks such as the UN SDGs and Global Impact Investing Network standards. Students will learn to evaluate startups for commercial viability and impact outcomes, apply sustainability metrics, and make real-world investment decisions alongside a syndicate of investors, gaining practical experience in impact-driven venture capital.
