Catalog description

This course teaches students to transform real-time business data into actionable insights using descriptive analytics. Students will first learn the basics of relational databases and the ETL process using Alteryx, followed by SQL code for database interactions. In the final section, students apply descriptive analytics and create compelling visualizations using Tableau. Real-world case studies reinforce practical skills in querying, analyzing, and visualizing data to answer business questions. Emphasis is placed on self-teaching through AI tools like ChatGPT and Bard. The course is fast-paced, covering Alteryx, SQL, and Tableau to prepare students for data-driven decision-making.
