This course provides an introduction to corporate finance for undergraduate students. Its primary goal is to develop an understanding of the economic principles underlying firms' investment and financing decisions, as well as the institutional context in which these decisions are made. We will examine how companies make financing and capital structure choices, how these decisions affect financial markets, and how theoretical frameworks can be applied - while recognizing their limitations - in addressing real-world corporate finance problems. Topics covered include financial statement analysis, capital budgeting, bond and stock valuation, financing of investment, firm valuation, and optimal capital structure.
