Forensic Biology.

Catalog description

This course is intended to provide hands-on experience to introduce students to ways biology is used in the processing of evidence items from crime scenes in a forensic context. Students will complete the processing and analysis of various pieces of evidence in mock cases, from unpackaging the evidence to writing the final report. Students will explore techniques such as fingerprinting, hair microscopy, bodily fluid screening, and DNA analysis on the appropriate pieces of evidence.
