Catalog description

Taiwan, Hong Kong and Xinjiang represent three different challenges to the objective of national unification or unity championed by Xi Jinping, the current President of the People's Republic of China (PRC). In this class we will explore how the past, present and future of these three different cases might affect not only Xi's ''Chinese Dream'' and the trajectory of the People's Republic, but also global affairs and our understanding of political subjectivity, identity, and nation-building.
