Catalog description

This course examines the health ideals and outcomes produced by historical experiences of socialism, liberalism, and authoritarianism in the 20th and 21st centuries. Students will learn about anthropological frameworks examining health in political-economic and socio-cultural contexts. Cases will address reproductive and sexual health, infectious disease, and others.
