Catalog description

: The two segments of this course provide a structured milieu through which the social work practice theory acquired in the classroom is applied to real people and problems. The student, via this practice experience, is expected to begin to take on the role of the professional social worker. The process of socialization into this role is expected to cause the student to experience considerable growth as a person and as a professional social worker. The student is engaged in the process of assessing and integrating knowledge, values, and ethics germane to the practice of social work.
