Fundamentals of Physics II

Catalog description

. Pre- or Co-requisite: MATH 2020 or permission of instructor. Continuation of PHYS 2305 that includes the study of electricity and magnetism. Topics covered: electric fields, Gauss’s law, electric potential, capacitors, dielectrics, electric circuits, magnetic fields, Ampere’s law, Faraday’s law, inductance, magnetic materials, AC Circuits and Maxwell’s Equations. Recitation (Three hours lecture and one recitation hours per week.)
