Catalog description

Pre- or Co-requisite: Completion of junior level nursing courses. In this online course students will explore the use of informatics in nursing practice and its role in enhancing client outcomes. Students will learn how to integrate the required competencies and expert knowledge into daily nursing practices. They will also examine issues related to protection of privacy, confidentiality, and security of health information and consider the utility of electronic platforms for communicating health information.
