. A continuation of JAZZ 2100 with emphasis on advanced elements of jazz improvisation (modal harmony, polychords, mixed scales, symmetric and “synthetic” scales, non-functional harmony, and chromaticism). All of these elements will be studied in relationship to style, form, and analysis.
