, and HEDU 3400 or permission of the instructor This course is a study of the tools and techniques of technical writing with individualized assignments pertaining to public health. Emphasis will be placed on writing job-seeking materials (e.g., resumes, cover letters, and personal statements) and professional documents (literature reviews, abstracts, and slide presentations). In this class, students gain experience writing a variety of documents common to public health but also many other academic disciplines and careers. Students receive practice using a handbook and other resources for writing models and advice to improve their professional writing.
