Pre- or Co-requisite: HAD 4100 , 3.0 GPA and approval of the course faculty. The Honors Independent Study course, HAD 3601 provides high-achieving Health Administration students with an opportunity to explore an advanced topic, project, or research problem related to healthcare management, policy, leadership, population health, operations, or organizational practice. Students work closely with a faculty mentor to design, implement, and present an individualized plan of study that deepens competencies in critical thinking, applied analysis, scholarship, and professional leadership. Students also investigate specialized areas aligned with the Program Learning Outcomes and Honors expectations through directed readings, research, applied exploration, and a culminating scholarly deliverable. Students must have a 3.0 GPA and faculty approval to register for the course.
