. Admission to a degree granting college. Any student who has not completed these requirements will not be allowed in this course with no exceptions. This course focuses on the tools and techniques required during the entire new product/service development process. It is intended that, through required independent reading, classroom lectures, contests, and essay tests, the student will acquire 1) working knowledge of the fundamental principles of new product development (NPD); and 2) a greater ability to think both qualitatively and quantitatively about NPD problems.
