Catalog description

This course provides an introduction to the fundamental concepts and terminology of fluid mechanics as used in scientific studies of environmental systems, with an emphasis on a physical understanding of how and why fluids behave as they do in environmental contexts. The goal is to give students a basis and vocabulary for understanding and learning to solve problems that involve fluid mechanics and environmental transport processes.
