This course is an in-depth study of the policies and processes of the juvenile justice system. Students will examine the definition, nature and extent of juvenile delinquency. Major topics include theories of juvenile delinquency, status offenses, the rights of juveniles, and the relationship with juvenile justice stakeholders.
