Catalog description

This course consists of laboratories that reinforce the concepts covered in CHEM 3200. A survey of classical synthetic techniques of inorganic compounds, applications of instrumental and optical methods of analysis in inorganic synthesis, metal-assisted reaction processes, ligand synthesis, synthesis of coordination compounds, and non-metallic compounds, inorganic frame-work structures of zeolites and silicates will take place in this course. This course must be taken concurrently with CHEM 3200. (One three-hour laboratory period per week.)
