The course provides a survey of basic facts and principles of organic and biochemistry. Topics include the structure, properties, and reactivity of some of the major types of organic functional groups. Other topics include carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, enzymes and nucleic acids. (Three lectures including demonstrations and interactive exercises per week)
