Catalog description

. (Spring only.) Students will examine design research methods, design theories and develop core competencies while understanding rationale, practice, and societal impact of design. Though inquiry and analysis techniques, project-based learning, and critique, this course will explore design processes, critical issues, design’s relationship to the environment: and emerging technologies, materials and manufacturing processes commonly used in production. Six studio hours per week.
