3 Lecture Hour(s) 0 Lab Hour(s) This course explores the psychological, pharmacological, and physiological aspects of drugs and human behavior. Coverage includes approaches to understanding drug use and abuse in clinical and non-clinical settings. Special emphasis is placed on narcotics, hallucinogens, alcohol, nicotine, caffeine and psychotherapeutic drugs. Consideration will be given to drug effects on learning, memory, and sleep; as well as drug screening procedures.
