3 Lecture Hour(s) 0 Lab Hour(s) This course examines the psychology of the African American / Black experience. The course begins with examination of the Black psychology paradigm, its history, and its applications. The course will examine several topics relevant to Black psychology such as racism, racial identity, family, community, spirituality, and African American mental health. The course will also focus on how knowledge of Black / African American psychological experiences can be used to promote African American psychological health and wellness.
