3 Lecture Hour(s) 0 Lab Hour(s) This course is designed to give students an overview of the various fields of psychology, possible career opportunities for psychology graduates, and skills that are essential to the success of students majoring in psychology. Topics will include how to read, critique and summarize research papers, an introduction to APA style, basic career skills such as creating a resume, writing a personal statement, how to prepare for an interview, presentation skills and academic etiquette. This course will also provide students with an overview of the graduate school application process and will emphasize the importance of gaining research experience through independent study.
