Catalog description

This course will observe, compare, and critique prominent contemporary issues in the American political system. This course introduces several issues currently plaguing American government and encourages an open dialogue with students to explore the origins, complexities, issues, etc. associated with these problems. Topics covered include but are not limited to: American political culture, the founding and lhe U.S. Constitution, immigration, federalism, the judiciary, public opinion, elections and voting, political parties, interest groups and more. Prerequisites: POLI 110 with a “C” or higher
