Catalog description

This course builds on the content found in Adult Health I and further refines the cognitive and psychomotor skills in the management and care of adults with increasingly more complex acute and chronic illnesses. The course emphasizes holistic care of an aging population and the genetic influences on health and illness. As in Adult Health I, the theory and clinical components focus on critical thinking and clinical judgment. Students learn to work in interdisciplinary teams and employ evidence-based practice to provide quality patient-centered care.
