Nursing Care of the Childbearing Family and Women’s Health

Catalog description

This course focuses on the concepts and theories essential in providing Nursing care to childbearing families, newborns and women. Incorporated into the course are methods of adaptation to physiological and psychological stressors inherent in this group of patients. In the clinical portion of the course, the students will learn to work within interprofessional teams and employ evidence-based practice, technology, and informatics to provide quality patient-centered care.
