1 Lecture Hour(s) 0 Lab Hour(s) This course is designed to introduce the student to electronic music and how it is created. Topics to be covered will be the history of electronic music, the use and possible applications of the tape recorders, mixers, amplifiers, speakers, microphones, sound generators, synthesizers, etc., and the proper maintenance of all the equipment utilized. Each student will arrange two or more hours per week to work alone in the Electronic Music Studio with the equipment and materials. The creation of original compositions will be a project assignment to be premiered at a public concert.
