Catalog description

This course introduces nuclear physics as applied to nuclear power. Pressurized water reactors, boiling water reactors, and others that are currently in operation and those planned for the future are discussed. The course addresses the safety and environmental concerns of nuclear energy with discussion of nuclear accidents and nuclear waste.
