Topics include: (1) atomic structure and chemical bonding, (2) crystal structure, (3) defects, (4) phase diagrams, and (5) physical properties including mechanical, electrical, and magnetic. Prerequisites: CHEM 106 and MATH 131 (F,S,SS)
