Catalog description

This is a basic course in fundamental thermodynamic principles. The topics covered include energy, heat and work, thermodynamic properties of substances, real and ideal gases, first and second laws of thermodynamics from a macroscopic viewpoint, the basic Rankine power cycle, and the basic vapor compression refrigeration cycle.
