3 Lecture Hour(s) The Continuum of Long-Term Care is designed to provide students with an in-depth understanding of the complexities of managing long-term care settings. The course covers a wide range of topics including various care settings, health policy, emerging trends, management and leadership principles, care coordination, and transitions. Special emphasis is placed on policy changes, population health, health equity, and cultural competence. Through lectures, case studies, and practical exercises, students will gain the skills and knowledge essential for effective and ethical long-term care management. Prerequisite: Senior standing. Prerequisite: C or better in HSM 201, HSM 221, HSM 331, (F;S;SS)
