3 Lecture Hour(s) This course will address the history and evolution of Feminist Theory and the Feminist Movement from a global and multicultural perspective. It will teach an analysis of gender through critical thinking about patterns of privilege and discrimination. Key discussion topics include women’s suffrage, female activists in the struggle for political and social rights, changing concepts of motherhood and gender roles, ecofeminism, and opportunities for women in the workforce. No prerequisites.
