3 Lecture Hour(s) 0 Lab Hour(s) This course is a study of the historical relationship of African-Americans with Africa, stressing the political, economic, and cultural significance of the continent in African-American history and thought. Missionary, repatriation, and Pan-African movements will be analyzed, as well as the evolving image of Africa in African-American popular culture.
