3 Lecture Hour(s) 0 Lab Hour(s) This course surveys and analyzes the various movements which made the 1960s one of the most important and tumultuous decades in American history. Special emphasis will be placed on the civil rights movement, opposition to the Vietnam War, environmentalism, youth culture, and feminism. Attention will also be given to the continuing influence of the 1960s on the development of American society.
