Ethics of Teaching

2 Lecture Hour(s) 0 Lab Hour(s) This course introduces students to the teaching profession. Major emphasis is placed on the ethical and moral responsibility of the classroom teacher to meet the needs of the learner in increasingly diverse school environments. Teacher candidates explore the philosophical and historical context of public schooling and the importance of supporting overall PK-12 student development. A 20-hour service learning experience is required.
