3 Lecture Hour(s) 0 Lab Hour(s) As a first course in data science, this course introduces fundamental principles and methods of data exploration, manipulation, visualization, and modeling to obtain insights from data. The course topics include data types, data preparation and preprocessing, exploratory data analysis, data visualization, and linear regression modeling. The course is intensively based on programming tools such as R, Python, and/or Tableau. Prerequisites: STAT 214 or MATH 224. (F;S;SS)
