Introduction to Green Engineering

3 Lecture Hour(s) 0 Lab Hour(s) Students are introduced to the concept of green engineering and its application through industrial ecology, risk assessment and life-cycle assessment methodologies. Topics include green engineering at the macroscale (industrial sector), mesocale (unit operations), and microscale (molecular interactions). Students will design an engineering process with emphasis on preserving and improving environmental quality.
