2 Lecture Hour(s) 2 Lab Hour(s) The course is a study of diffusion, diffusional operations and stagewise separation principles. Topics include the quantitative treatment and design of mass transfer equipment involving equilibrium stage contacting. Operations included are distillation, absorption, and extraction. Additional operations, such as, ion exchange, drying, humidification, chromatography and membrane separation may be included at the instructor’s discretion.
