Topics include Properties of Fluids; Fluid Statics - hydrostatic pressure, forces on submerged surfaces, Pascal’s Law; Archimedes’ Principle, buoyancy and stability; Fluid Dynamics - mass, energy, and momentum equations; flow and velocity measurement; pipe flow; pump characteristics, laminar and turbulent flow; open channel flow; sub and super-critical flow; and specific energy.
