Senior Capstone Design I

2 Lecture Hour(s) 2 Lab Hour(s) In this first course in a two-semester design course sequence, students synthesize and extend the skills and knowledge acquired during undergraduate education toward a biomedical product or service in a team environment. Students learn key facets of medical product design including needs identification, engineering standards, identification of multiple realistic constraints, user requirements, prototyping and alternative solutions. By the end of this course students have an understanding of the unique requirements of this profession.
