2 Lecture Hour(s) 0 Lab Hour(s) This course discusses energy resources, the production, utilization, and system design for renewable energy systems. Specific topics include: Biogas, biomass, bioenergy and biofuels (biodiesel & bioethanol), as well as solar, wind, hydroelectric and photovoltaic power, energy analysis and projection, and environmental, economic, social and global impact of renewable energy systems. Prerequisites: MEEN 241 or BIOL 221 or equivalent. Corequisite: BIOE 413. (F, S, SS).
