Aero Computational Methods

Catalog description

The course will introduce industry specific applications from the aerospace industry and how Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) is used to solve problems and optimize subsystems. The course will teach basic Computational methods FEM, FDM and FVM. The fundamental of how Computational Fluid Dynamics works based on, MATLAB/FORTRAN will be conduct in the class. Basic Analytic solution of Shock tube problem will be conducted. 1D/2D simulation will be achieve at the end of the class.
