AICE: Navigation and Localization for Autonomous Systems

3 Lecture Hour(s) 0 Lab Hour(s) This course focuses on the navigation and localization aspects of autonomous systems, including self-driving cars, aerial taxis, and space robots. Students will learn about sensors and algorithms that enable autonomous localization and navigation. Topics include GPS system design, fault robustness, odometry, simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM), vision and LiDAR-based navigation, and deep learning for perception and scene representation.
