Catalog description
This is an introductory course that surveys the whole field of descriptive astronomy. It highlights discoveries in planetary science, stellar evolution, and galactic astronomy. Basic study of the solar system, stars, galaxies, and the rest of the universe. Lab required. Laboratory includes outdoor telescopic observations. Lecture 3 hours and laboratory 2 hours per week.
