Catalog description
Medical-Surgical Nursing II is an 8-week course that continues the study of adult medical-surgical patients. The Student Learning Outcomes are expanded upon with an emphasis on patient centered care, cultural diversity, communication, teamwork, and clinical reasoning. Safety concepts are emphasized to reduce preventable errors and promote positive patient outcomes. Theory and clinical experiences are related to the course content. Lecture 4 hours per week, Clinical 12 hours per week. Prerequisite BIOL-2224 and Pre/Co-requisite BIOL-2014.
