Catalog description

This course examines soil properties and classifications relevant to construction and earth-moving operations. Students learn to identify various soil types and understand how texture, moisture content, and compaction affect stability and workability. Lab exercises demonstrate soil handling, testing, and control measures for efficient and safe equipment operation. Lecture 2 hours and Laboratory 3 hours per week.
