Catalog description

Introductory course in microbiology. Includes microbiological concepts including the study of bacteria, viruses, fungi, and protozoa as they affect the human body. Designed for majors in health professions programs. In the laboratory, emphasis is on identification and handling of microorganisms. Lecture 3 hours and laboratory 3 hours per week.
